Mindset Coaching: Taster Session
A powerful introduction to mindset coaching for children & teens
One session. One shift. One decision.
A chance for your child to understand themselves more deeply, feel more in control, and experience the style of coaching I offer — with no pressure or commitment to continue if it isn’t right for your family.
Growing up today is harder than ever
Growing up has always had its challenges — but today those pressures are amplified in a way no previous generation has faced.
You’re not imagining it: childhood has changed.
Children aren’t simply dealing with school, friendships and figuring out their identity like past generations. They’re navigating pressure, comparison and noise that never switches off.
Pressure to fit in is constant
Confidence is shaped (and shaken) by social media
Friendships feel fragile and confusing
Academic expectations keep rising
Screens weaken real-life communication
Loneliness and overwhelm are more common than ever
No child is born knowing how to handle all of this.
And without guidance, many turn the struggle inward — believing the problem is them.
Coaching changes that.
Why a Taster Session?
Because coaching shouldn’t be a leap of faith.
This session gives you and your child the chance to experience coaching before making any larger decisions. You see my approach. Your child feels what it’s like to work with me. And you gain clarity about whether this is the right step for your family — without any pressure.
The session works independently:
even if you choose not to continue, your child walks away with insight, confidence and a powerful shift in how they understand themselves.
If you do continue, the session fee is deducted from your first payment.
If you don’t, the value still stands on its own.
Price:
£60
(credited towards the full Core Programme if you continue)
In this taster session, your child will:
• Feel understood and supported as we get to the root of what’s going on beneath the surface.
• Learn a simple but powerful mindset shift that helps them feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions and actions.
• Take the first step toward long-term confidence and resilience, with a coach who understands how children’s brains really work.
What happens in the session?
1. Connection & rapport
Your child can meet me online or, if you’re local, face-to-face.
We take a few minutes to get comfortable — talking about interests, playing a quick game, or chatting casually.
Parents are welcome to stay for the whole session or drift in and out.
2. Understanding their world
I get a sense of what life feels like for your child — friendships, school, confidence, worries, strengths. This part is gentle, paced and child-led.
3. A powerful mindset shift
Your child learns a simple, science-backed idea that helps them understand their reactions, decisions, challenges and emotions in a completely new way.
It often brings immediate relief and clarity — and sets the foundation for deeper progress later.
4. Parent debrief
At the end, we talk briefly about what I noticed, how your child responded, and what the next steps could be.
You can ask questions, explore the coaching process, and gain clarity about whether the full programme is the right choice.
And importantly:
I’m also assessing whether I’m the right coach for your child.
Why parents choose this work
I’ve worked with children for years.
I understand the pressures they face — academically, socially and emotionally — in ways many adults forget.
I don’t diagnose.
I don’t label.
I don’t judge.
I don’t offer quick fixes.
I help children understand themselves, take responsibility for their choices, build confidence, strengthen friendships, and develop the emotional leadership they’ll rely on for the rest of their lives.
Coaching gives young people an advantage most adults never had.
Who this is for?
This session is ideal for children and teens who:
struggle with confidence or overthinking
feel overwhelmed by school or friendships
avoid challenges or get upset easily
feel anxious and don’t know why
want to grow but don’t know how
would benefit from a calm, structured, non-judgemental space
It’s equally valuable for parents who want to understand coaching clearly before committing.
And even for children who are doing well, this session offers something rare today: a chance to build identity, confidence and emotional strength before the world tests it — an inoculation, not a rescue mission.
How to book
There is one simple next step:
Book an Intro Call
A short conversation to see whether coaching is the right next step for your child — and whether we’re a good fit to work together, where:
you can ask questions
I can learn about your child
we can decide whether to go ahead with the taster session
you can check we’re the right fit for each other
After the call, I’ll send you a direct link to book the taster session itself.
Your child doesn’t need to struggle alone — and you don’t need to wait.
I currently work with a small number of families at a time to ensure every child receives the attention they deserve.
If you're considering this, early booking is strongly advised.
A final thought
You’re here because you want your child to feel more confident, more grounded, and more in control of their world.
Even a single coaching session can shift how they see themselves — and open the door to the stronger, calmer, braver version they’re capable of becoming.
If this feels like the right step, I’d love to speak with you.
