Transformational Coaching for children and teens

Guiding young people to believe, grow and lead

My name is Tom Grimwood — Children’s Mindset Coach.

I help children and young people who feel held back by self-doubt build real confidence, emotional strength and a strong sense of who they are.

Through transformational coaching, we uncover what has been weighing them down, help them to see themselves differently, and give them the tools to face the future with confidence and purpose.

If you want your child to grow into a confident, self-led young person, you are in the right place.

What makes Identity Coaching different?

I combine transformational mindset coaching, teaching experience and a child-centred approach to help young people build confidence, emotional resilience and a strong sense of who they are. My work goes deeper than quick tips - it gives children the tools to understand themselves and lead their own lives with purpose.

Children grow when they understand their values, strengths and beliefs. I help them to build the foundations of real, lasting confidence.

Identity-led development

Every session includes simple, effective techniques your child can use at home, at school and in everyday challenges.

Practical tools that work

With years of teaching and coaching experience, I create a safe space where children feel heard, understood and supported.

Safe, supportive and grounded in safeguarding

“He is so much happier in your class than he has ever been in school.”

- Parent

What children, parents and teachers say…

“You were so kind to me and I just want to thank you for everything.”

- Child

“Tom builds great rapport with children - he is a natural coach.”

- Deputy Headteacher

“The workshop was wonderful. Thank you for explaining things in a way that children can understand. Brain and autopilot mode is something I’d tried to explain [to my daughter] many times, but she understood it instantly through you.”

- Parent

“It [a workshop] helped me understand my children more. The Skittles game was a lovely way to bond and talk about emotions.”

- Parent

Described by children and colleagues as compassionate, thoughtful, supportive, encouraging and extraordinary.

If you would like support for your child’s confidence, emotional strength or personal growth, I would love to hear from you.

The best first step is a free parent call — a short conversation to talk about what’s been happening for your child and to see whether coaching feels like the right next step.
